Fly Tying Materials - Flash & Tinsel

Fly Tyers Dungeon is always on the prowl for more and different fly tying flash material. We have a very nice selection here with various of flash colors and styles. If you need a few strands to spice up a pattern, we have a nice selection of H2O Flash in standard and holographic colors for the fly tying enthusiast. .

Going to Alaska or fishing for steelhead, give our great selection of Northern Lights a try, very unique color combinations and make great Flash Fly patterns. Many fly tying color combinations to choose from and we are always thinking of more.

How about going to the Flats in the tropics, well we have a wonderful selection of Glass Web to make that perfect bonefish fly or make a complete baitfish pattern to entice many saltwater species. Glass Web...This is wonderful flash type material. It has over 700 strands of clear flash and over 1400 color microfilaments. Great for tails, parachute posts, baitfish bodies and wings and for any application that a flash material is used. One of my favorites.

H2O Flash... This matches Flashabou and other similar flash materials. You get over 800 8" strands of 1/64" wide flash (standard) in great colors. Priced excellent and a superb material.

H2O Flash Small... This is identical to H2O Flash except it comes in only three colors and is 1/100" in width. Finer flash for smaller or more motion in your fly patterns.

H2O Flash Big Fish...This new flash material is 1/16" wide 4 times wider than our standard H2O Flash and comes in Pearl and Pearl Dyed colors. There are over 200 strands of 8" flash per hank. These are ideal for saltwater, pike, musky and larger flies and also will make nice flashback nymph material. The colors are: Pearl, Pearl Orange, Pearl Red, Pearl Pink, Pearl Yellow, Pearl Green, Pearl Blue, Pearl Gray, Pearl Claret and Pearl Brown.

Black Widow Flash...A wonderful tailing and wing material. I use this as a marabou substitute and this is the tailing material on the Black Widow Leech. It is now available in 8 colors. Black/Black, Black/Red, Black/Olive, Black/Brown, Black/Yellow, Black/Orange, Black/Hot Pink & Black/Purple. First color is the Flash and the second is the microfilaments. More colors on the way! over 800 8" strands of flash and over 1400 tailing fibers per hank.

GREAT replacement for Marabou, flows and undulates wonderfully in the water with a touch of flash, STRONG and doesn't foul around the hook as marabou does! I have replaced this over marabou. Also works great for wings.

Pearl Widow Flash...This is a pearl version of the Black Widow Flash and makes a great baitfish pattern building material. There are over 800 8" strands of Pearl tinsel and over 1400 8" strands of filaments (dyed to color). The colors are subtle light shades of pink, purple, blue, dun, olive and white. These can be dyed by you to get that great custom color as the filaments take the dye very well.

Silver Widow Flash...This Widow Flash has Silver Tinsel instead of the black. Over 800 8" strands of Silver Tinsel and over 1400 filaments of dyed filaments. The colors are deeper than the Pearl Widow Flash colors and are ideal for Alaska patterns, steelhead, pike, musky, bass, baitfish flies etc. Great colors and a silver flash accent.

Gold Widow Flash...This Widow Flash makes great Woolly Bugger tails and baitfish patterns to match baitfish that inhabit darker colored waters. Over 800 8" strands of Gold flash and over 1400 dyed filaments. This Widow Flash has darker colors for darker patterns. I like this material as tails on Woolly Buggers!
